Question Lookin for some basswood suppliers in Miami!!!

Hello all. My name's Ace. I'm new to this site so greetings to all. I'm a sculptor who is working on a project that is in DESPERATE need of basswood. I'm fairly new to the Miami area and don't have a clue as to where I'd be able to get a good sized block of basswood. (6X6X12) If anyone can help me it would be much appreciated. Thanks a bunch!!
Oh yeah, here's my website with my work for any who are interested...

I don't know of any suppliers in Miami but you can contact Dale at http://www.heineckewood.com/ in Wisconsin. He can probably help you with what you need in either basswood or butternut. I just received two nice pieces of butternut within a couple days of ordering. Others here have also used Heinecke with good results.

Moved from Welcome to Carving Wood and Materials..... should be more information here. Welcome to the board 'ace'. We want to see what you do with the wood.

You may need to glue a couple of pieces together - it would be more economical for you and you may get better performance out of the wood...of course, you bring in the possibility of visible joints.
