Thomp... Just curious.... Did things get straightened out to your liking? I was going to drive over and see Mr. Burnette to see what he had to offer while I was up in Tennessee but once up there realized that I left the directions in Florida so I never made it. As it turned out a friend who lives across the road from our cabin and works at the local sawmill snagged me 30-feet of 5/4" x 8" fresh cut basswood. I had to cut it down into 5-foot sections to get it home and I wouldn't have had room for anymore wood even if I wanted some. The basswood is out in my shed curring as we speak. By this time next month it will be fully kiln dried! If your situation turned out satisfactory I was thinking of trying to get over to see him in the fall.

eddy,
unfortunately i think jace forgot the trade.. his family had a medical emergency, and he posted he was hoping to restore our faith in him.
it's the last i herd on the sassafras wood he was offering..
guess i can call that bought wisdom.

Thomp... Tough break! I thought after Mr. Burnette's last response that he was going to make good on his obligation even though he said that he was having some family problems.

Mel... I think that you can forget about this source. It appears as if there are already folks in line ahead of you that haven't been serviced.

Thought I would give it a try though, I didn't realize there was a lot of folks in front of me.
