According to the Titleist web site, golf ball cores are made of polybutadiene. Here's a link to more info: http://www.iisrp.com/WebPolymers/01F...adieneVer2.pdf
A Google search will provide you with hundreds of manufacturers who can make polybutadiene into most any shape you'd like. By the way, different Titleist models come in different core colors: yellow, green, blue, etc.
For those of you who don't want to look it up, polybutadiene is artificial rubber and is used primarily in golf balls and tires.

Thank you for the research and bringing it to the message board..I have been pondering this very subject for a long time. I have seen how golf balls are made on a program called HOW ITS MADE, wondered if it mite be a company classified secret..thanks again. In fact, I work in a big box store and a customer ask me what golf balls are made of. Now, I have an answer for those customers. Bill | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
