Default Follow up to canes

So I read all this stuff about cutting saplings, but no one has said when the best time for that is. A little help? Thanks.

8) Fall and winter are good times to cut canes. I'm going out this afternoon for just that purpose. With the sap down, the wood will dry faster. Besides, all the skeeters are dead now and you can walk in the woods without giving a pint of blood in exchange for the wood!
