 Eucalyptus wood for carving? I was able to obtain about 30 straight eucalyptus walking sticks today from a friends land after stripping the bark and adding wax to the ends of the sticks (we did this in about 6 hours including cutting them down kinda proud about that.. lol ) so are there any tips or suggestions when dealing with Eucalyptus wood? I was pretty amazed to see how much water was pouring out of the ends of the sticks after they were cut the sticks are about the weight of english walnut when green I am thinking after they have dried they will loose alot of the water weight.  |
