Default Corian

I was given a large piece of Corian, 3 feet by 4 feet. Is it any good for relief carving or perhaps Scrimshaw? Thanks.

Yes. Wear a mask or better yet a resporator. There are some who do carve in Corian and some beautifull carvings. Lends to great detail. However, I think power was being used.

Corian also makes a great layer on a mounting for a carving. Wood base+corian layer=great look. I've seen the Corian cut the same size and shape of the base, or slightly smaller.

I've carved the insides of a golf ball, but never Corian. Let us know how it goes.
