Default Clean White Oak Log

I got my self a nice clean white oak log today as you can see it has a burrell on it. I got this from a tree removal company for $20 they delivered it to me. I ran my metal detector over this log I know its clean. Tree removal guys are a great source of logs but you will need a metal detector.

I'd say you have quite a few hours of work in front of you with that log and that hatchet! What brand of hatchet is that by the way? I like it's look!

A twelve pack is a good payment too! We got lots of wood chips that way.
Nice log.

It is a hand hammered Condor brand it has a 16” hickory handle and 3 pound head. I had one of the old Boy Scouts hatchets and it was a good hatchet. I left it sticking in a log one night and someone needed it more than I did. I gave $32.00 for it at Bass-Pro.
