Default Chain Saw Carving Wood

Does anyone know of a reliable source who will ship large blocks (logs) of quality basswood or sugar pine suitable for chain saw carving? Living in Maryland, locally available stumps and logs is pretty cruddy stuff. I'm looking for whole blocks or logs approximately 28" High x 18" Diameter.

I'd suggest contacting every local tree service in your area and letting them know what you're looking for and that you're willing to pay for good wood. That's how I've got my best woods.
If you want kiln dried basswood you may have to glue up blocks to get that size.
Good Luck!
Wade
