 Castor wood a.k.a. Florida Bamboo Does anybody know how I can obtain some Castor wood? ??? I was at a carving show not to long ago and a gentleman there was carving walking sticks out of this wood. It seemed pretty easy and it looked real nice. Does anyone have any info on this type of wood or had experiance with this? I would be interested in getting some to try my hand at walking stick carving.  |

| Re: Castor wood a.k.a. Florida Bamboo According to my tree book it grows in southern florida and some species have poisonous sap. It's a shrubor small tree growing to 25 feet. That's all I know cause that's all that's in the book. Sorry.
