| | Carving Through Wood I have a doubt, im currently building a design where i need to pass a tube through 9 peices of wood shaped in a decagon. My question is, how can i carve a circle through the wood so that it is adept for the tube that should go through. Lets note that after the decagons are passed through the tube, all 9 should be able to move in a centripetal motion through the tube, so the circle that i need to carve thourgh it should be pretty well done. Hlep me please! |

But to answer your question - Do what??
I think you may be better off drilling a hole as opposed to carving one. What size hole do you want to carve - or make? Can you post a drawing of what you are intending to accomplish? |

| | Re: Carving Through Wood Are these going to be arc shaped holes that connect one to another along the tube. Possibly use a router to shape a grove and laminate a cover cut to match your decagon pieces. |

| | Re: Carving Through Wood First question...Easy to carve through wood....yes. Some woods easier than others.
Second question.....decagon.....centrapedal....nine pieces through a tube or a tube through nine pieces.....? Sorry but I lost you. Decagon, ten sided, okay. Centrapedal........ I just can't picture that in my mind. How about a sketch of what you have in mind? Maybe it's just too early in the day for me?

Bob | Don't feel bad Bob. I'm at a loss also. Live in Missouri now, but originally from Oklahoma. Wonder if being an Okie has anything to do with it?? |
