| | Careful what you wish for Hi,
I thought you all might enjoy seeing my new batch of carving wood. It's willow....
If you look closely in all of the pretty leaves, you'll see my truck. I can't move it yet, but amazingly, the tree missed the truck. There is no damage at all.
Funny thing is, I usually park my truck right where the tree is. We had a little hail, then some wind, then I remember running away, and then trying to find my truck.
Sort of like winning the lottery, only there is no money involved.

| | Re: Careful what you wish for How about a willow relief carving of a four-leaf clover? I thought you were going to tell us you made a commercial for Vonage and cut that tree down yourself. |

Now you've got some good carving wood! Self-loading even!
If you cut some blocks for carving out of it, seal them up with Anchorseal and reseal it in a week or so, and it ought to be great! Pretty wood to carve!

Make sure you wear a mask on chainsawing and sanding that willow. And personally I think an angel is hiding there for you. Or damn close.
Gald your Ok , but willow dust can be nasty.
