I bught some butternut from Dale a while back, and it was great quality wood at a great price. Of course, I still haven't had a chance to do any carving on it other than to take a couple of practice cuts on it. But I'm sure Dale will take good care of you. Best part--you don't pay until after you get the wood when the bill follows in hte mail. Just like things should be.

A good source of butternut and basswood is Uncle Al's Wood Products in Oconto Falls , WI
