Default Before I buy

Hey you guys,
I have a question before I buy a piece of ebony. The picture shows a nice and black piece of ebony, is that wood as black inside as it is outside?
Thank you
Alfredo

Shure Is! I recently carved a cross for a rosary that a lady brought to me. She said that she remebered it when she was a kid and it had a piece of coal black wood. Ebony was the first wood that came to mind.
