Default basswood

i have a number of basswood logs for sale and i was wondering if anyone would be interested in pieces of them. i'm charging 50 cents an inch for a 9-10 inch diameter log. so $6 a foot. plus a $3 handling charge and the buyer pays shipping.

i can also saw some boards if anyone is interested but it would be rough cut and green

i do have some lumber available:

2" thick by random width in 8 foot lengths
3" thick by random width in 8 foot lengths

i will cut pieces down to whatever length is needed just tell me what size you are looking for and i will check in my piles.

i'm not exactly sure of prices on lumber yet though.

all lumber is rough cut undried

i just read the thread about bark... and i realized people may also be interested in basswood slabs that i have available... they are all pretty random sizes and some are just edgings off of boards... tell me what you are looking for and i will see what i can do.

prices will vary depending on the size of the piece you are looking for since it wouldn't be fair to charge a straight price per inch or foot for it since one piece may be 10"x1" and the next only 2"x1"

just tell me what you are looking for and make a reasonable offer.

I am wondering that too, If you're here in Canada, I'm in.......shipping and postage will be tolerable. If you are in the US I'll have to go with smaller pieces.

yes it is green... it was cut not to long ago and my dad bought it hoping it would all be nicer wood than it ended up being because he had a large custom order from some guy in nebraska or something like that.

it is very white wood its just not quite big enough logs for what my dad needed for some of the order. theres a lot of nice logs in there still just my dad is getting more logs so he told me i could sell them or saw them and sell them and pay him back for the logs as i sell them.

just out of curiousity... why are people looking for cottonwood bark? i know where i can get quite a bit of that.... we also have some dry maple sticks about 1"x1"x4' some birch 4/4 lumber and there might be some maple left... we sold the last of our oak not to long ago.

i'll go take some pictures of what i have for basswood laying around at the mill so everyone can see what i got.
