| | Aspen? I was wondering if anyone out there has any aspen. I have a project in mind that requires a log about 4"X 36. I would probably use a couple of them. They could also be 6" . Ron |

| | Re: Aspen? Logs and shipping Ron, here's photos of the two sections I cut this AM.
The bigger one is 6" on the but end and 5 on the top. Smaller is 4" and 3". Lenghts are 40" and 43"
The smaller dia one is a bit straighter, as you can see from the photos.
I checked with UPS and shipping on the larger dia one would be $15.30, I'd guess the smaller one would be about the same.
If you want to wait till fall, I can cut you a couple pieces then and they won't be anywhere near as heavy. Spring is not the best time to harvest this stuff as the sap is up, in force! Not really sure but I'd think the weight would be down about 20%
No charge on the logs as they are culls and I ain't in the business, anyway!

| | Re: Aspen? Ron, so no one here thinks I'm ignoring you, I got your PM, and I'll wait till later this fall to cut a few more aspen logs when they are not so water laden, get a price on shipping and let you know then.
