Default Re: Antlers horns Bones

Good idea looking for antler a meat processer. But before you do that, you might want to check with your state's Department of Wildlife (or whatever they call it) to find out what kind of deer (or elk) are in your state. ??? Here in Kentucky we only have whitetail deer. You cant barely do anything with those racks. Also keep in mind that the really big racks will probably be kept by the hunter. Oh, and your probably at the end of deer season so the pickins might be a bit slim. One place you might look is a knifemaker supply. They might have some slabs for knife handles. Hope this helps.

P.S. Beware! I can't tell you about horns of bones, but antler stinks to high heavens if you cut it to quick. Smells like burnt hair :P
