Default sealing carving for outdoors

Help -

I have a wood spirit (cherry) that I've just finished off, and given a nice coat of BLO, but want to protect him for outdoor display. Any suggestions what I should use?

Many thanks!

Mark

I have posted this several times but I have never heard anybody else using this method, here it is:
go to your paintstore and ask for "Paint Base #3,4,or 5" they probably look at you odd:-))) this stuff looks awful when you open the can milky or dirty depending on the brand but look at my picture it turns out clear and shiny ,mine are out all Sommer but come in in the Winter(Canada) I freshend some up this year after 4-5 years so that is what I do, no problem with BLO before either, I hope this helps
Alice
