Default Sale at Michaels

I just received an email telling me the Michaels craft store is having a big sale (25% off of your entire purchase, including other sale items. The date is January 22, 2012, and the time is between 4pm and 8pm. Good opportunity to stock up on acrylic paint, brushes, and any other goodies you might want...

Disclaimer: I have no connection to the store, other than I shop there.

Here's the web site announcement: Michaels - 25% Off Your Entire Purchase - 4 Hours Only

Claude

I got caught in a Michaels switch and bait promotional sale today. Along with that flyer they also put out a flyer for $5 off $25.00 so I went down there today but come to find out that sale doesn't start until Thursday. I wasn't the only one that got caught. They were turning down folks left and right. They didn't do their normally bad PR any favors! But I still took them to the cleaners. This one store has mis-priced their Simply Simmons brushes for the past 6-months and although they try to charge $3.99 at the register the tag on the shelf says $2.99. So I cleaned them out of all the brushes that I needed for a while and saved myself $10.00 anyway! For what it would cost me in gas it wouldn't pay to make another trip to the store! The cashier wasn't happy but there wasn't much that she could do about it.
