Default Paste Wax ???

When you all speak about using paste wax as a finish, is that the same thing as Johnsons Paste Wax, or is there something else? I have some Johnsons, but wanted to make sure its the right stuff. Thanks for any help.

Any quality wax. Johnsons, Minwax, etc. They all work.

I use Feed-N-Wax if I want a natural finish. Just my choice!

Thanks to Irish, I learned Johnson's paste wax works great. Gives the carving a real nice feel and a nice finish.

Ed,
Try this. Lots of online and storefront retailers. I've used this and other waxes. I like this one a lot.

Yup, Johnson and Johnson paste floor wax. Gives a soft shine to cottonwood bark carvings.

Thanks everyone for the ideas. I tried Johnsons Paste Wax on a dead tree limb that I made into a cane, and it is really smooth and has a beautiful sheen to it. And that was after only 1 coat. Thanks again for the great info.

Thanks for the link. Think I'll get a bottle of that SUNWAX too. Looks like it ought to soak into the wood nicely and it gives UV protection. I'm always fiddling with different things.
