I've been looking thru old postings and I haven't found any thing referring to painting over Quickwood. Is there any sealer that I can use to make it and the wood take paint and not show ?
Maryjo,
In using quickwood, you are reduced to using heavier coats of paints than washes. However, depending where the quick wood is, one could uses wash on the part that don't have the quickwood.
I used quick wood on a hydrant for a fireman carving and though I used washes on the fireman, I used heavier coats on the hydrant. came out looking pretty good, well as good as this old man can paint.
As for sealers, I believe you will run in to the same problem.
