Default Paint supplies

Apparently the Michaels store I have been shopping at is not carrying Delta Ceramcoat Acrylic paints anymore. Has anyone noticed if their local Michaels have dropped Delta? Now they have a new line ( at least for this area ) under the name of Martha Stewart. Anybody tried this brand?

I haven't checked my local yet, but I use several different brands of acrylics interchangeably. I was given a whole lot of "earth tones" by a neighbor when she moved, and several different brands were in the box including Americana and Folk Art - I haven't noticed any difference among the various brands.

the americana is a good alternative to ceramcoat the folk is ok to just seems a little thicker than the other 2 and needs a little more water and stirring get a bottle of the martha stewart just one and try it it may be comparable,

I'll second Claude and Bart's comment's. For the most part unless you're a perfectionist one brand seems to work as good as another! I do find Americana a little thicker than Delta so the thinning practice that I use is different with the two.

A Martha Stewart brand you say? Hmmmmm! Maybe that's a new Federal Industries project??

The Micheal's by me carries both Ceramcoat and the Plaid Apple Barrel line...I've been using both and don't see much difference in the two. The Martha Stewart line should be good...anything I've had by Martha Stewart was a good product.

Thanks for the replies guys. I've used most of the other brands as well but was curious about Delta because it seemed to be one of the more popular brands and thought it strange that Michaels would drop it.

It's been dropped here as well.

Just read Sunday's paper and Michael's has an ad for 30% off all it's acrylic paints. Delta Ceramcoat is very noticebly absent from the picture but "good old Martha" is there! That leads me to belive that perhaps Michael's and Delta have parted company nationwide???? I wonder if that also means that they'll drop Delta's Varnish's and specialty products like gel binding medium and brush cleaner????

Martha Stewart paints at the Michaels where I shop are over 3 bucks a pop at the regular price. I noticed other painting accessories under her name are over priced as well. She won't be getting any of my money!

Eddy...there were no Delta products to be seen.

Bandaid... that worries me! I've sent an email to Delta Ceramcoat to try and get some clarification on the matter and a list of alternate sources. It wouldn't be bad if you could order a couple of 2-oz bottles here and there and they charged you the actual shipping but most companies want to tack on between a $5.00 and $9.00 shipping and handling charge. That's one of the reasons I refuse to shop on line. I've yet to figure out how people figure that they're savin' money!
