Default Paint Caddy

I just finished putting togeather a paint caddy (or finishing box) to contain all of my painting and finishing supplies when we travel in our motor home. You can check it out here http://www.tickners.net/Woodcarving/...addy/Caddy.htm

Nice box Bill.
Ah, to sell out and travel!

Nah, Don't think my Daughter and son would let me take the Grandchildren.

Jerry,

I went to Michaels and got some 1/8" thick basswood. 3" wide by 24" long. Just cut 1/8" slots in the strips 1 1/2" deep. Turn one strip over and nest them togeather like an old fashined egg crate.

Thanks, Tucson Bill. I like the box and will build one simular to it! I travel in a fifth wheel and I am always looking for a better way to carry my carving 'stuff'.

I was just looking at the box again, excellent design, I would add a spot for a small ceramic paint mixing pallete and a box for brushes...that would make it complete! good job!

I don't have a pallette, but I do have 2 or 3 little 6 hole (actually 6 depression) gadgets from Michaels designed for mixing paint. Is that what you were thinking of?

I thought about a box or compartment for brushes, but finally elected for vertical storage as shown in Image 4 on the above link. Seems to me I read where one or two of our painting guru's recommended vertical storage for brushes.

yes my little ceramic tray has a 1/2 dozen or so depressions for paint...and a small box for the brushes will sure keep from ruining good brushes....
