I just saw an ad that Elmers has a new glue out that is stainable.....sure could have used that a hundred times over the years!Bouncing S

Hi_Ho, I don't get Handyman but I can go to "Elmers" web site. The one thing that has me thinking is even if it is stainable will it stain the same color as your wood or will you have a different color strip where the glue joint is? Guess we will just have to try it to find out. Mike

Hi_Ho, I wish Elmers made a stainable wood filer. When I chip off an eyelid or something small I use the Elmers wood filler but it doesnt stain at all. It helps to mix it with the stain your going to use but it's not full proof. Works great if you are going to paint it. Mike
