need help with colors for feathers

i just finished some feathers for my wife that im gonna make into pins but having hard time finding color patterns for the feathers. does anyone no of a web site that i could go on that has pictures of single feathers of the birds.the birds are blue jays ,cardinals,doves....etc.i looked it up on the internet but only finding pictures of complete birds

Ron,

Try searching for Peterson Birds in google. Peterson is the artist that does all of the bird studies for Audobon today and for the Identifying Bird books. He work is outstanding and percise! I believe that you will easily be able to find his books at your local library under Bird Watching.
