As far as the finish, (after sealing with the Watco Wax) I used acrylics. The beard/hair/eyebrows I used full strength Antique White and did a dry brush thing to just barely add the color. Full strength white and black for the eyes. A flesh tone wash on the skin and a wash of Wedgewood Blue on the hat. Had my wife add a little makeup on the high spots, then a couple of thin coats of spray on polyurethane clear satin finish. Regards. Vic
