Default Flexcut Gold

Hi All, I just thought some of you might want to know that the Flexcut Gold polishing compond , will stain most anything you set it on yellow. It wont come off , as far as i know. Ive ruined a good table .

Hi Muffy,

Flexcut gold is all I use on my second strop and have never had that problem. Maybe you got an especially 'oily' bar of it.

I use the Flexcut Gold, too, and have never noticed a staining problem. But then, my workbench is a hard plastic and not wood. May be the difference.

Scared me ... I used flexcut gold before I switched to yellowstone and had part of a bar laying on my computer table for the past few months ... just looked and no stain ... must the the polyurethane finish on the table that saved it.
