Default Re: How do you paint eyes?

I have used a product called Crystal Clear which basicly does the same as what Hi Ho uses and the epoxy method that Lynn dose. Same thing, if you use to much, it will level the eyes but does give a shine and one doesn't need highlite on the eyes. Tooth pick works wonders,
However, I do pain t the iris of the eye in as I believe it gives just a little more to the eyes. JMHO.

I like to use blue or green for the irises

Thanks Lynn and all for your input on eyes. I learned something new and valuable!!!
I have always been happy with my method of doing eyes, eyeballs were on my agenda yesterday, and this was the last post I almost did not read. But I figured I might actually learn something and I did. It just so happened I had a couple spare, practice eyeballs and some epoxy I needed to use up; and VOILA! I am a changed man in five minutes.
The difference is astounding; Thanks.
Jim

Ed...

I use a #10/0 brush to paint my eyes, whites and pupils. Then I use the tip of a pin to add the glint. Instead of epoxy I use multiple coats of DecoArt Triple Thick which is available at any craft store.
