Default Danish Oil - how to?

Hi, Danish Oil is a fairly straightforward medium, but there's one question: it says on the can "the last layer can be applied with a plastic scrubbing pad". Which kind of pad might be meant? Soft or hard?

I use one of those green fibrous things that has had all the stiffness knocked out of it by weeks of use in the kitchen. You key the shiny surface of the hardened oil and apply a new layer at the same time. Instructions on the can sometimes read like witchcraft but, as you say Danish Oil simple stuff, as well as doing a good job.

Please be carful with the word" Danish Oil" if it does not say 100% pure it is probably a mixture of1/3 Poly, 1/3 Mineral spirit, and 1/3 of oil check your can carefully. at what point of your carving do you use it and what do you want it to do???

I usually put in on, wait 3 mins , and wipe it with a soft cloth. I only want a light coating and too much will cause splotching.

Alice is right, make sure you get what you think you have.
