I have the 2000 and as far as I'm concerned it's the best thing since pockets in pants. Quick, easy and does a good job. Still have to strop though.

maybe I just need to learn how to use it. It does seem to maybe be faster tyo put edge on. Do you use a black magic marker, Doug??? I guess I can shape the tool with the wet wheel, and then put on edge with the worksharp. I have used the sears wet wheel for some time and a good light to see the edge of the tool. Of course V tools are a problem as they are with most carvers, ans Rick at little shavers has helped me with them. Do you have a light above the worksharp??And, yes, I do have to hone it, which is no problem, as I have a slow grinder(varible speed) with a buffing wheel and a hard fiber wheel that I made. Any suggestions will be appreciated.

I do use the magic marker as it helps me a lot. It will both shape a tool and put a very good edge on it. After using the Worksharp all your chisels need is a quick strop on a felt or leather wheel or even by hand. You should be able to just strop as needed for a long time before having to use the Worksharp again. I like it because it so quick and easy.
