Default wood carving bench plans

Hi all,
I'm new to the forum. I'd like to build my own carving bench but would like to know what to consider and if there are any existing plans that I could use to initiate the design and final build of the bench.

Any advise is much appreciated.

In Chris Pye's newest book, I assume it's an article previously published in the magazine "Wood Carving", he has plans for a handy "portable" carving bench. No reason why it couldn't be the basis for a permanent set up.

I have also seen at least one other design here on the bulletin board.
If you do a search for it I'm sure you can dig up that one and probably more.
