That's true. I agree that there are 6-10 very good methods for sharpening.
The most common, and readily available material method in Estonia is probably
the sandpapers.
But what do I know, maybe all they've had for 40 years are diamond hones!

Thanks for the advice, i am a lot smarter now. I tried this scary sharp method and am very happy with results. I got my chisels almost as sharp as when i bought them. Carving became much easier. Sandpapers are cheap and easy to get, so it´s perfect for me.

Witches are usually shown with a tall, pointed hat =the only shape that fits.
I think that they use the scary sharp method to shape their heads to a point.
