got my new white lilly sharpening stone for the norton IM 313 sure is a good sharpening stone if you like to sharpen your tools with natural stones i would say this is one of the best in a long time its got a little more bite than a translucent stone. the best way i found to sharpen with natural stones is #1 use the white lilly #2 goto the translucent #3 goto the hard felt wheel with honeing compound i like k1 to clean the stones or keep them in . i also put a very lite oil in the k1 i get my oil at napa auto if you hate the smell of the k1 you can get unsented or the norton honeing oil .a very old master carver showed me this he said its was how they done it in the old country.
