for carving works, wich type of vise is better, or your preference?

or SHOULDER VISE?

Beautiful benches both.......but not what I would use for carving. Take a look at the carving bench at Lee Valley, by Veritas ....can adjust from both horizontal to vertical and in between. Those benches you show are wonderful for traditional woodworking, but I prefer something different for carving.
