I have been trying to find a good vise for a while. I'm in a small town (bigger town is 75 miles away) so internet is necessary. This carver on youtube.com has the vise I'm looking for. Unfortunately, all I can find on the internet is a vacuum base and that won't stick to a work bench. YouTube - Wood Carving wood spirit lesson #1 Could someone put up a link that will take me to the vise? Thanks for the help. Norm Carlsbad, NM PS: I just checked related topics and unfortunately, the links to previous vises are no longer working. Darn it.

Hi joggernot I Just purchased a clamp on Jerry Rig vise from " Chipping Away ". They are located in Canada. They had a 25 % off sale, maybe it's still going on. I recieved it in about 7 days. It's great. Sorry, I don't have the e-mail address available for you. Good Hunting. Dennis |

I went ahead and bougt all the parts and indeed it is as described sturdy and has so far held up to heavy pounding. what do most of you use to attach the woodbase to the flange? |

I made a poor mans vise and used a box end wrench and brazed it to the nut...good a handle as you can buy!
