Anybody use the slip strop and/or the Vee power strop? How well do they work?

I made a Burke type sharpener with a strop wheel. It does not excellant job for knives and outside edge of gouges. Look at the deluxe Burke machine on littleshavers.com web site it solves the problem of the inside edge of gouges with the second sharpening bar.

Take yourself a piece of basswood and carve the profiles you wish to strop into it. Apply stropping compound and away you go. Your very own custom made slip strop. If you happen to have a lathe, you can turn a piece of basswwod to match you tool profiles and use it to strop them.
