Talking Stropping Pressure ?

I learning to stropp which I knew nothing about years ago when I learned to first carve. Now that I taking it back up I'm learning that stropping can keep your knives sharp and you very happy while carving

I'm learning how to stropp so my question is how much pressure are you supposed to apply while stropping? Light pressure ... med pressure .... or Hard pressure?

You don't need a whole lot of pressure......given your three options, I'd vie for light! Medium if you're really wimpy...hehehe

I agree with Al. Light to medium pressure should do it. If you press too hard, you can create a ripple in the strop at the edge of the blade that will actually dull the edge.
