Does anyone know where one can find on the U.S. side of the pond the Sjoberg Sumo Carver's Workbench pictured on the cover of the spring 2007 issue if Woodcarving Illustrated?

Not that I could afford one right away, but it's nice to know that they're around if I started to save up for one.

Woodcraft.com sells Sjoberg benches, but I don't see the "Sumo." The Elite 2500 with cabinet in the base costs $2200. But the Nordic Plus 1950 is only $500.

From what I see on the web the Sumo can be found (at least virtually) in the UK, and if my currency converter is correct it runs about US$900!

Though rather small in footprint (which in itself is a plus for me compared to normal woodworkers-length benches by Sjoberg) it has a couple of cool features, like a tilt up table top, extra tall legs, a slot up the middle to accomodate a carver's screw, a place for ballast in the botttom so that it stays put...

It's the cover girl on WCI, what more need be said?! ;-)
