I know this has nothing to do with carving, but it is sharpening. I contracted to sharpen paper cutters for a large school district. These are big paper cutters; I picked up eleven today and my truck was half full. Eleven cutters means twenty-two 36 in. blades. I finished seven sets before I had to leave for work tonight. As if I needed more to do. Head Bange Last edited by rick-in-seattle; 08-30-2006 at 06:20 AM. |

Ah, Rick, your repetoire of sharpening items just continues to grow! Are we going to get a "paper cutter sharpening tutorial" now? hehehehe! Please, don't let your sharpening sideline overtake your carving ability. Al |

I see this is a big undertaking for you, but if it would be a lucrative side money maker for me, I would take you up on a lesson!!! Especially since I am unable to part with my carving pieces like I had originally planned to make side money!!! Sean |

Rick, how in the world do you do all you do and work a full time job too? You must never watch Desperate Housewives. By the way I, like all of your other customers, love the knife you made me more each time I use it. |

Al, Too late on my carving time. KC, Sharpening anything requires time, patience, and practice. If you find it difficult to sell your carvings, make twenty of the same carving. It will get easier. Bob, Good to hear you are enjoying your knife. What is TV? Dan, Yes, I am actually making some profit on the paper cutters. Last edited by rick-in-seattle; 08-30-2006 at 04:40 PM. |
