john, you mention you use 1000 and 2000 paper,
have looked at the local lowes and 2 other lumber yards,
where can i get some of that paper

I got mine at Autozone. You have a better chance looking where they sell car body stuff than any woodworking supply.

Try Ebay. I got mine there. When I looked at Lowes and Ace Hardware, the did have some 800 and 1500 grit but I would have to buy a box of 5 sheets at $4 to $5 dollars wherelese the ebay merchant had a range and it was 18 sheets at $9.90 mix and match...hmm tho there was postage.
