Default Seahorse Whittler Wanted

Anybody know where I can get a seahorse whittler with "Bubba Gum" scales. Yup, Bubba Gum, not bubble gum. Case claims to have made 500 of them. From how hard they are to find, I'm thinking more like 5. Incidently, anybody who has a seahorse and is curious, if you let me know what model, or identify it in some way, I can probaly tell you how many were made of that variety.

Need more info than that to i.d. them. I'd suggest you put the one with scrolled bolsters away someplace safe as most of those were limited to 250 pieces (I hope yoy haven't sharpenied it). If you have a Lowe's nearby, stop in and check out the Case display. They have a special factory order seahorse that is bright orange and I mean bright. Initial order was 3000 units.

Case calls it Orange G-10. I'm not particularly fond of it either, but to keep the collection going you know. It was a special factory order (sfo) by Lowe's and 3000 of them were made which is a reasonably large number for seahorses. I think the highest number was a handle called "Rogers Jigged Autumn Bone" with 7500 units. Most seahorse variations were made in 1000 units or less. They're really meant as collectibles rather than users. The Bubba Gum that I am looking for was a 500 unit seahorse and the last one I saw was around $100. I believe there are around 58 different variations not counting ones that have been cutomized.

OK, I went ahead and plunked down the 48 bucks and got the orange one. Figured what the heck, it's different people say I am, and I haven't had a good pocket knife for a long time. This thing isn't collectable enough that I shouldn't sharpen and use it, is it? Really liked the big blade and thought it would be good for wittlin' in the woods.

If you get tired of the orange you can always have it redone like this one of mine by a guy named Michael Prater
