I think I will send off for the MDI catalog. One thing I forgot to ask you yesterday so I will ask now. Before you got your Proxxon, did you regularly use rotary sanders like the Dremel? If so, how would you rate the Proxxon in comparison? I used to do a lot of sanding with the Dremel (or it's brothers) but don't do much of that any more because it's hard to control. I find it almost impossible not to gauge the wood even with the fine grit drums. I do still use the rough grit drum for stock removal when the typhoon burrs won't do.

PS Never thought you were affiliated with Proxxon. When I find a product I really like, I have a tendency to hype it, too. After all, that's how we find out about good stuff, right?

Â* Â* The pen sander is the only thing I've use besides regular sandpaper. Â*Looking at my dremel (I have the flex shaft reciprocating attachment for it) I can't imagine trying to sand with it. Â*It's much larger than my pen sander, I can see where it would be hard to control. Â*The pen sander is about the size of a cigar.
Â* Â* I just thought about it, if they don't have their new catalog ready at MDI (I haven't received one yet) and they just send you their last years one it won't be shown. Â*Be sure to tell them you are interested in the Proxxon tools, maybe they have a Holiday flyer laying around they can send you. Â*Good luck! Â*Callynne
