Default Sander/Grinder

Hey guys I know Lynn touched on this subject the other day and gave a link to the machine he uses to sand his carvings but I cant seem to find it. I was also curious as to what machines you guys use to de-fuzz your carvings instead of doing it by hand. Do you guys/Gals have any suggestions?
Kevin

I think he said he uses the 3M bristle wheels. I get mine from Santa Fe Jewelry Supply.

Yep. Me too. 3M bristle wheels. They work great and come in several different grits.

I think The WoodCraft Shop - Online Store carries them.

I buy the 3M finishing pads that look like scotch brite and replace steel wool. They come in different grits so that you can be as delicate or as aggressive as you want. I cut the pads up into small 1.25"x1.25" squares and then mount two or three together on an oversized 1/8" diameter shank mandrel that I picked up at the fleamarket. If you want to get fancy you can cut the material out in circles but after a very short time it fuzzies out and the square edges disappear anyway. If you use the green or red pads make sure that you keep your speeds low otherwise the heat will transfer the coloring to your carving. I have my best luck with the gray pads (Fine).

Those 'scrubbie' pads also work to remove dirt (from handling) as well as pencil marks.
