I have not bought any ruby bits from Stones-Ruby, Sapphire etc.-Wood Carvers Supply, but I have bought some structured carbide burrs from them at what I thought was a good price.

BTW, if you do buy from them, I would suggest also getting some of these at the same time and save on shipping http://www.woodcarverssupply.com/BRI...ctinfo/795151/

You might try sending an email to saginawldr@yahoo.com he formerly had a business that supplied products to taxidermists and wood carvers. About 2 months ago he sent out a note saying he had a bunch of carving bits and he had drastically reduced them. I don't know what he had but it would be worth it to check with him. I know he is trying to close out on everything. Former business was called Hide and Beak Supply.

I get most of my power carving bits from Woodcrafters in Bettendorf, Iowa. They have a great catalogue, website, and wide vairety of products. I especially like going to a carving show where suppliers are displaying and selling their wares so you can actually see and touch each bit to determine if its the size and shape you need. But I have purchased them from MDI, Old Texas, Mountain, etc. Donna_T
