Default router bits

Haven't gone looking yet, thought I'd start here first since someone on this panel seems to have their finger on the pulse of where to find stuff.I'm looking for the plain old HSS router bits. I don't want the carbide ones.I cut my own profiles in them to the shapes I want,,,can't do that with carbide, and , contrary to popular opinion,I can get as much use out of them as I can the few carbides I do have,no burning, and a bit of a touch up and they're good as new.Got a good source of HSS blade steel for the molding profiles I make for my planer, but no router bits there. ANYONE?

Mark ,

I would try MSC .. Manhatten Supply company and or Southwest Tool Company .

If you call Southwest Tool, http://www.swtoolsupply.com/ talk to them and tell them what your looking for , if they don't have them they will get them at a good price for quality cutters.

Oh both have 800 numbers.

I get everything from High Speed drill bits to carbide mill cutters and even indexing tools from Southwest.

Thanks guys! Knew someone here could send me in the right direction.I bought up most of the stock of the 1" wide or the deep cove bits from local suppliers till they stopped and only carry carbides.I've been able to get some really neat shapes out of these for years to match restorations or retrofits. None of the new "standard" profiles match. Plus I think it better matches the term "custom woodworking".Thanks again
