Default A Question To Flexcut Users

Does anyone know if the flexcut handled palm tool blade would fit into a flexcut sk series interchangeable handle?....couple guys at my local club wanted to know if anyone knew, if they were to remove the handles of there handled tools, would they be the interchangeable blades?....no one there had the answer, but figure this would be a source........don't know if the blades are the same or not without cracking a handle to see!....Dennis

If you gently hold the blade in a vice and pull, the handle should come off.
With the blade still in the vice it is simple and safe to push the handle back on again.

Dennis,
Use this link to ask your question, I believe it is the owner of FlexCut that answers all questions. I have asked a couple myself and very happy with the answers. http://www.flexcut.com/q-a/

Thanks for the link, I had posted question on there last night also, but no response yet today, maybe forth comming....We didn't want to destroy a handled gouge to answer the riddle, but don't seem like anyone on the forum knows, I don't know if the blades are glued into the wooden handle or not, and then will it fit the sk series handle...so many questions...Dennis

No Dave,
I don't think anyone knows the answer to this question, and I haven't gotten a response back from Flexcut, nor a return phone call...I am going to try and call again tommorow...I have posted this question on several boards with no response, maybe like me, no one is broken a handle off to know for sure the answer.....I think the guys at club just wanted to reduce size and weight, removing the handles I guess would in fact do this for them.....and they have a few of the tools, typically smaller for the sk series now, think an 11pc set, but they have larger palm tools and wanted to consolidate....Dennis

The answer is yes, I have removed a couple of the handles, and the blades are the same.

Dennis,

I placed a wood chisel against the base of the blade, and gave it a tap with a hammer. The handle split very neatly in two, leaving the blade ready to use in an SK handle.
