Default Question on Carvin4less Tool Close out.

I just recieved a sales brochure from
Carve4less
P.O.Box 3575
Estes Park, CO 80517
www.carve4less.com

They have a overstock/closeout sale. The tools are made in the U.S. by Sculpture House, founded in 1883. Grade 1095C high carbon steel tempered to .59 - .63 Rockwell. The tools seem to be about half price of other tools. I was thinking of picking up some of the specialty gouges, short bents, fishtails, etc. These are 9 to 11 inch tools with what appears to be octagonal handles. Has anyone used these tools ?? Can anyone vouch for thier quality. I presently use mostlyt Stubai and Flex Cut. If thier any good, some of the carving folks might like to pick some up on the cheap.
Be Barkin at ya soon

Default Re: Question on Carvin4less Tool Close out.

I have purchased a few of these tools from Mountain Woodcarvers and while they hold and edge well, it took a considerable effort to commission the tools. A reasonable buy if you have the patience. PM me for more inf.
