Default Power Carving Bits

Hello,
A Newbee with woodcarving. Like to try power carving but confused. There are alot of bits, burs, etc. out there. My question: which are commonly used, which ones to use and are there bit kits sold.
Thanks,
Paul

Paul, what do you have for a power carver?? A foredom , or micro motor? I use the typhoon bits put out by foredom, to rough out my work. The finer carbide, and dimond bits to finish or smooth the wood before sanding. If you type in Razertip Industries in your search you will find that they have an online catalogue, and sell most popular types of bits and burrs. If your in the US, I use MDI Woodcarvers supply. Rick, one of the members on this site, also sells bits and burrs.
