Default Portable carving tool box

Hi,
I would like to find plans to build a portable carving tool box (or buy one). I want something relatively big so I could put in 25 gouges and 10 palm gouges. Anybody has an idea ?
Thank you !

Gilles

i just recieved a tool box from bob clarke this week, the 20 tool model. this is a great tool box, they are put together well, and well thought out. i don't have the tools it would take to build a box like this, so the price was well worth it as far as i am concerned.

there is also the 5-gallon bucket version..I am sure someone still sells those over the internet here..just take an ordinary clean drywall bucket and draw several wooden circles to make a tool holder to fit down inside from some plywood scraps and there you have it..a convenient tool carrier for little or no money..it depends how big of a hurry you are for it..Father's day is coming up.(put it on your wishlist) and maybe it may arrive..also.the big box stores will be having the big plastic tool boxes on sale soon..I got the big yellow one for less than a $10 bill..several years ago...bill#1

i bought the small tool tote that holds 32 tools and love it, not to heavy and bulky and you can see your tools easily.good rice also i dont think you can build one for what he charges.

I've seen some pretty nice boxes made out of those aluminum CD storage cases with the locking lid. Just add a plywood insert with holes for the tools.

Here's a pic of mine. It's home made, no plans, fobut maybe some good ideas. I am particularl y fond of the rare earth magnets that hold my home made mid sized gouges. An idea suggested by one of my friends at a woodcarving roundup, thanks Richard.
