Default Pocket knife

Rick-in-Seattle,

How do you like the Kershaw Double Cross? I see that it's down to $42 now at www.knivesplus.com. Have you had a chance to use it much?

I like it enough that I applied to become a dealer for Kershaw.

In yesterday's mail I got my Kershaw Double Cross that Rick had mentioned. (Unfortunately, they had sold out of the Schrade 44OT) I used the Kershaw right out of the box to rough out Hi-Ho's ornament for the swap! It's a darn fine knife! Love the locking action!

There are only 2 things I might have to change. I may have to see if I can take out the knob that can be used to open the blade one handed since it sometimes digs into my finger when carving and the back of the blade is very square which may irritate my finger during long sessions.

Other than that, it's definitely a great knife!

Remember, Rick may be carrying them soon!

Mike,
The items you found on the 'Double Cross' are some of the things I fix when I modify them. You can check with ( RIC or Will Hayden ) on this board to see how they like theirs.

I make four modifications and sharpen the blades for carving basswood. It turns a beautiful knife into an outstanding carving knife.

The modifications that Rick made to my knife definately made it a contender for a perfect knife. I would recommend this knife with the modifications. Thanks Rick.

I just got my knife back from Rick in Seattle. What modifications did you do to your Kershaw Double Cross?? Show pictures if you have them.
