Default Re: paper sharpening wheels

I loved my paper wheels--until my grinder burned out. I got the slowest rpm grinder I could find--slow works best to hold down on the heat generated. My wheels came with a lump of pink compound and it worked great for the stropping wheel. It also came with instruction on how to regrit" the sharpening wheel and I had to do that 2-3 times in 10 years.
